As an educational researcher, I strive to encourage my students to become independent and critical learners who value the process of learning as a life-long commitment. Furthermore, I aim to contribute to students’ ability and enthusiasm to engage in productive argumentation by creating an environment that stimulates communication, productive collaboration, and critical reflection. These goals inform my teaching practices and shape my research, and using my research findings, I make iterations in my teaching practices to better support these goals.
When I do not do research or teaching, I love exploring fantastic worlds (e.g., Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Dark Tower) and occasionally the real world (e.g., traveling, hiking), spending time with my family and friends, and working out.
I regularly do strengthening and conditioning exercises.
